Assessment Overview
The QbCheck assessment is a digital performance task designed to measure impulsivity and focus. Throughout the process, a standard webcam utilizes motion-tracking technology to monitor physical movement. Rest assured, the camera solely analyzes movement patterns and never records video or captures images of you or your child. This technology captures critical data points that self-report forms might overlook.
Virtual Evaluation
Testing is conducted via remote supervision for individuals residing in Texas and New Mexico. Please note that QbCheck provides data but is not a standalone diagnosis. It serves as one tool within a full evaluation including clinical interviews and medical history. Completion of this testing is a requirement before initiating any treatment plans that involve controlled substances.
Common Testing Questions
Can this test diagnose ADHD on its own?
No. This tool is not built for independent diagnosis. We use it as an objective data point to support clinical interviews and patient history. While it cannot distinguish ADHD from other mental health conditions on its own, it provides the essential data on focus and motion required for our intake process.
How is the remote test performed?
This is a computer-based task utilizing a webcam for motion analysis only; no video or photos are recorded. The entire session is conducted via telehealth under clinical supervision. This ensures that patients in New Mexico and Texas receive the same standardized testing experience as those in an office setting.
What factors impact my test score?
Performance can be significantly skewed by lack of sleep, emotional stress, or external distractions during the session. All results are contextualized within your broader clinical history and are discussed in detail during your scheduled follow-up visit.
Is this service covered by insurance?
The cost is $250. This is strictly a self-pay service and is not accepted by insurance plans. We provide this testing to Texas and New Mexico residents to improve diagnostic accuracy and fulfill our safety protocols regarding controlled medication management.
